I have to make a confession here.
I got to the above state - and moved - to another state.
Somewhere along the line I lost the vision of what was in this piece.
(don't ask me how, but I get the completed piece in my head BEFORE I start carving)
Somewhere, I lost it and could not get it back. I quit trying and now have another image of wht it is to look like, so I am off to making chips again.
A few hours at Danceaholic, waiting for dancerdaughter (at Fort Gibson Community Center).
A few more hours at PotBelly's in Broken Arrow, OK.
After moving twice, I finally found it and went back to work.
So after another 20 hours (it is hard as a rock, soapstone is easier to carve.)
Another 15 hours, sanded and ready to add the stem and leaves.
I have a different vision for the stem and leaves. Hope it works.
