Photos of the Whitehart container
Since I stopped working this on the lathe on the first day, it has warped and is no longer round
(a danger of working very green wood - wood downed the day before).
What it looked like in the beginning
a view of the bottom - still stuffed with sawdust to slow drying
a view of the top - still stuffed with sawdust to slow drying
a view of the side
what happens when it drys too fast
and if you are wondering why this project is labeled WhiteHart, this is what I propose to put on the side of the mug
Finally of the lathe, side view.
Off the lathe, bottom view
Off the lathe, top view, down the cavernous maw...
Now if I can keep it from splitting any further...
The White Hart applied (under) the finish coat.
The White Hart.
The whole chalice.
The sheep under the bottom edge of the chalice.
So, is it a good one for the first year of White Hart?
