I portray the character brother william (lower case is intentional). You may have seen me at a renaissance festival in Colorado, Ohio, Wisconsin, one of two fairs in Oklahoma, Kansas or one of two fairs in Missouri. I garb in a cassock, cowl and hood as a brother of the cloth. I keep a staff at my side that hides a carving knife and a punch. I carve flowers and hedgehogs, which I give to patrons. Once in a while I will receive "donations for the church" as a thank you for the flowers. To date, almost all donations for carving at faire (any faire) have gone to Youth In Need in St. Charles, Missouri in the name of that faire. I tell stories about the King's Wise Men and teach from the Gospel of Matthew when the opportunity arises. Upon request, I can change your joust from a lesson of mayhem to a lesson of tolerance for the young ones in the crowd.

The carving of flowers began in the early 80's when a campfire needed to be started on a very cold and wet day. Yes, it began as an aside to what the immediate need was, as happens with most important things in our lives. I have been carving flowers since then. That is brother william in a nut shell.

My home faire I now consider to be White Hart Renaissance Festival.

The people I recomend you make an effort to see:
Queens Gambit for Celtic Music.
For the most child friendly music you can find:
Lord Kerridwynn and Nancy Daily Green
And I have no idea how to categorize this one, but it is one of the best "acts" I have seen Byron the Bear.

Before the turn of the century, I applied for admission to the certificate program at Eden Theological Seminary . The application was denied.

This brings up an interesting question, considering Adam and Eve, does that put me in good company or bad company having been denied access to Eden?

Humor aside, the question now stands: Where do I find God in my current situation and what am I to do about it?
